Since yesterday’s post seems to have made such a splash on the blog, I decided to do another post continuing on the idea of helping to persuade your partner to try new things in bed! The obvious next step once you’ve convinced them to be more open to try new things in bed is to start throwing ideas out there, but you don’t want to scare them off by coming off too extreme (at least, not right away!) so I’ve come up with a list of ideas to help you all out if there are certain things you’d like to try out and how to slowly break your partner into that idea.
If you want to try New Positions, Try This: Woman on Top, Doggie Style, or Up Against the Wall. Trying new positions is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new things, but if you’re just starting out, it’s a great place to start. There are tons of fun sex positions that range from easy to more difficult and a lot of it depends on your level of fitness, but you can always start with easy, less intimidating ones and work your way up! For more inspiration, check out this post.
If you want to try Sex Toys (for the first time), Try This: Slimline Vibrators, small and medium sized Realistic Dildos & simple Cock Rings. Simple small toys with simple functions are the best place to start when you’re new to the sex toy game and, as with sex position exploration, you can always work your way up. For more ideas, check out this post.
If you want to try Anal, Try This: Anal beads or Small Butt Plugs. Anal is really scary for a lot of people so getting them used to the idea slowly is the best route for success and optimal enjoyment for everyone. Starting out with small anal toys and beads can help your partner get used to anal stimulation and sensations and acclimate to the differing sensations. This is leaps and bounds better than jumping straight into anal sex, especially for someone who is totally new to that avenue of pleasure. For more inspiration on this, check out this post.
If you want to have a Threesome, Try This: Unique Fidelity Threesome toys! For some people, asking for a threesome is grounds for a break-up so tread carefully around this topic. The best advice I can offer s to bring it up as a hypothetical question first and then, if they’re open to the idea, to bring up threesome toys as an option as it allows you both to enjoy that pleasure without adding a third wheel to the mix!
If you want to try Bondage, Try This: Soft Cuffs, Blindfolds, Feathers and Spanking. Bondage can be a tough topic to approach, but you can start things out really mild and easy and transition into more extreme play later on ( if you so choose ). The best way to start is with simple things like blindfolds, spanking, feather, soft handcuffs, and simple sex toys like vibrators. For more information on bondage, check out this post and for more information on spanking, check out this post.
If you want to try Extensions, Try This: 1.75″ Veinzy Penis Extension. This is one of our simplest extensions and it’s realistic design won’t be so far out of the realm that your partner will panic so it’s a safe bet for your first extension experience! For more reasons on why you should try penis extensions, check out this post.
If you want to try Yiff / Furry role play, Try This: Animal Dildos. Telling someone to dress up in realistic animal costumes and roleplay doesn’t always bode well if they’re unfamiliar with the niche. I think this fetish can be a lot of fun with the right mood, the right toys and a sense of humor about it. Everyone has an animal that they feel an affinity for and if you can tap into that, offering to roleplay with some toys (before costumes) is a great way to ease your partner into things without overwhelming them.
If you have a Fetish, Try This: Fetish Toys. Inviting your partner to engage in your fetish with you is a great way to increase your intimacy quality and bond, but if you’re just coming out about your fetish on the whole, you may want to ease them into things. Take it slow, keep it casual, and try out some toys to get a feel for things.
